Popworks
A 5-reel, 4-row video slot with 40 fixed lines, set in a sunlit rainbow factory run by Pip the foreman. The player sets the stake and presses SPIN: one press = one round. A Stamp Wild turns its whole reel wild, and 3 or more Party Timecards start Color Rush — free spins that play inside the same round, each paid at a pressure multiplier that climbs with every free spin that returns something. The paid spin and its whole Color Rush together pay at most 500× the stake.
The outcome is decided by the RNG at the bet: the paid spin and every free spin are drawn when the round starts, and the round settles in the same call. The reels, the stamps, Pip and the celebrations are presentation: the client animates the outcome the server returned and cannot change it. Every spin plays at normal speed — there is no turbo and no skip.

Layout
- Reels × rows: 5 × 4, with reel strips of 80 stops
- Lines: 40 fixed lines, read left to right from reel 1 (the list is in the game's rules screen and in the published paytable)
- Symbols: eight paying symbols, the Stamp Wild and the Party Timecard (scatter)
Symbols and pays
Line pays are multiples of the total stake (all 40 lines are always played), so the table reads directly as a multiple of the bet. Each line pays once, at its best combination, and all lines add up. The pays are the same in every RTP variant — only the reel strips differ.

| Party Timecard | scatter | starts Color Rush (3 / 4 / 5+ anywhere) |
- Line wins: 3, 4 or 5 matching symbols from reel 1; a wild stands in for any paying symbol. A line that starts with 3 or more wilds pays the best symbol's run of that length when that is worth more than the run of the first non-wild symbol (a tie keeps the wild run). A Party Timecard breaks a line.
- Stamp Wild: a reel whose window shows a Stamp Wild turns every cell of that reel wild, once, before the lines are read. Party Timecards on that reel stay as they are.
- Party Timecard (scatter): counted anywhere in the window as the reels stopped (before the stamps). They pay nothing themselves; 3 or more start Color Rush.
Color Rush
| Party Timecards on the paid spin | Free spins |
|---|---|
| 3 | 8 |
| 4 | 10 |
| 5 | 12 |
- The free spins play automatically, inside the paid round, on the same reels and at the same stake — there is nothing to claim, resume or abandon.
- Pressure starts at 1×. A free spin's line wins are multiplied once by the current pressure, and every free spin that returns anything raises the pressure by 1 for the next spin, up to 10×. A free spin that returns nothing leaves the pressure where it is.
- 3 or more Party Timecards on a free spin add 3 free spins, never more than 20 awarded in a Color Rush.
- The 500× max win covers the paid spin and every free spin together. The spin that reaches it is paid up to the cap and the Color Rush ends there. Nothing else ends it early.

| rtp-97 | 1 in 90.99 | 72.33% / 24.64% | 8.27 / 10.34 / 12.41 | 1.6% / 10.2% / 41.9% | 3.0% / 23.4% / 59.3% | 21.76 / 32.69 / 45.54 |
- A free spin played at 10× pressure: Color Rush plays at least one free spin at the 10× pressure (a free spin whose line wins, if any, are multiplied by 10).
- Pressure meter reaches 10×: the pressure meter reaches 10×, a rise on the last free spin included (that rise takes the meter to 10× with no spin left to play at it), so it is the higher of the two figures.
- Both are exact and, like the mean spins, count the spins after a capped total as if they were still played: the game ends the round at the 500× cap, which can change a figure only on the rounds that reach it.
- Color Rush return: the mean total of the free spins with the 500× cap applied to the free spins on their own; in a round, the 500× cap applies to the paid spin and Color Rush together.
RTP by variant
Each variant's RTP is exact — computed over every one of the 80⁵ stop combinations of a spin and an exact model of Color Rush, with the 500× cap included — and sits at or just under its label, never above it. The player chooses only the stake, so no way of playing returns more or less than the RTP.
| Variant (label) | RTP, published (4 decimals) | RTP, exact (500× cap included) | Below the label (points) | Without the cap | Max win | SD of one round (stakes) | Rounds to 99.9% house-ahead: ⌈(Φ⁻¹(0.999) × SD / edge)²⌉, Φ⁻¹(0.999) ≈ 3.0902 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
rtp-92 (label 92) | 91.9629% | 91.96289622% | 0.0371 | 91.96300229% | 500× | 3.321 | 16,303 |
rtp-94 (label 94) | 93.9949% | 93.99493170% | 0.0051 | 93.99503977% | 500× | 3.346 | 29,642 |
rtp-96 (label 96) | 95.9975% | 95.99754241% | 0.0025 | 95.99767050% | 500× | 3.427 | 69,994 |
rtp-97 (label 97) | 96.9704% | 96.97041991% | 0.0296 | 96.97055583% | 500× | 3.477 | 125,749 |
rtp-92, rtp-94, rtp-96 and rtp-97 are the variants' labels — their names — not their RTPs. Each variant's RTP is its exact figure: 91.9629% (rtp-92), 93.9949% (rtp-94), 95.9975% (rtp-96) and 96.9704% (rtp-97) to 4 decimals, the 500× cap included, at or just under its label and never above it.
"Rounds to 99.9% house-ahead" is ⌈(z × SD / edge)²⌉ with z = Φ⁻¹(0.999) ≈ 3.0902 and edge = 1 − the exact RTP, rounded up: the normal approximation for a casino whose every round is played at that variant. It is an indication, not a guarantee, and it is optimistic for right-skewed outcomes such as these: the real horizon is longer.
Max win and caps
Every round is played with a cap of exactly 500× the stake, the paid spin and the whole Color Rush together. The RTP above is exact at that cap, so the game does not play under a lower one:
- An operator multiplier cap (
tenant_games.max_win_multiplier) below 500× is refused: the game is not available with it ("This game isn't available with your casino's maximum-win setting."), and the operator panel refuses to set such a cap for Popworks. - A stake whose round could pay more than the money cap — the tenant's or the jurisdiction's maximum win per round — is refused before anything is debited or drawn ("This stake is above the maximum for this game. Lower your stake."). The largest playable stake is the money cap ÷ 500, rounded down to a multiple of 100 minor units, and the game's stake selector never offers a larger one.
Payout rounding
Pays are whole hundredths of the total stake, and every stake is a whole multiple of 100 minor units, so a round pays stake × T / 100 minor units exactly (T = the round's total in hundredths of the stake) — nothing is ever rounded, in any currency.
Provably fair
For tenants with provably fair enabled, the round's draws are derived from the committed server seed at the bare round block (clientSeed:nonce, no sub-nonce), continued past its first 64 bytes by clientSeed:nonce:1, :2, …: 21 draws, each a uniform integer in [0, 80⁵ − 1] (purpose labels spin-0 … spin-20). Draw 0 is the paid spin and draw k free spin k; a draw gives the five reel stops (stop[c] = floor(v / 80^c) mod 80, reel 1 the least significant digit). The published paytable (type popworks_reels) carries the rules, their hash (rulesHash) and the variant's reel strips; the verifier recomputes the hash before anything is read. The round record stores the round's cap (capHundredths, always 50000); with it and the published paytable that priced the round, the verifier replays every spin, and the verification page does the same in the browser and compares it with what the round booked. See Provably Fair.
Integration notes
- One round, feature included. Color Rush plays inside the paid round: a round is one bet and one settlement, with no actions, no cash-out and no open round to resume. Bet:
POST /games/popworks/roundswith{ "betAmount": <whole minor units>, "currency": "…" }; the response settles the round and its outcome carries every spin — the paid spin first, then each free spin — with what each paid (spins, feature, totalHundredths, capped, winAmount), and no RNG internals. - One Bet and one Win booking per round. The wallet sees one debit (the stake) and one credit (the round's whole win, every free spin included) — no separate free-spin rounds, no zero-stake rounds. Your page receives one set of round messages per round (see Game Embedding).
- Stakes are whole multiples of 100 minor units (1.00, 2.00, … in 2-decimal currencies; any multiple of 0.0001 in 6-decimal stablecoins; of 100 satoshi in BTC). Any other stake is refused with HTTP 422 before anything is drawn or debited, as are a stake under the 100-unit minimum or the operator's minimum bet (
30007) and one above the maximum bet (30008). - The 500× cap rule. An operator multiplier cap below 500× makes the game unavailable, and a stake above the money cap ÷ 500 is refused — both with HTTP 422 before anything is drawn or debited (see Max win and caps).
- Casino free-spin offers (aggregator promotions) work as on Slotty Slots: each offer spin plays one whole round at the offer's stake — the paid spin and any Color Rush it triggers — and is booked as one offer spin with the round's whole win. Offer stakes are always whole multiples of 100 minor units.
- No free chips. Casino free chips are not offered on this game (single-step games refuse them, HTTP 409
30027). - Forced outcomes are not supported. The sandbox's forced-outcome endpoint does not apply to Popworks: a demo round always uses the real RNG.
- Draws. Every round declares 21 draws, in order; it reads only as many as it plays (1 + the free spins played). On rounds drawn by the platform RNG the unused draws are still generated and recorded in the RNG audit trail — 21 audit rows per round.
- Game metadata (
rules):rulesVersion, rulesHash, reels, rows, lines, symbols, wild, scatter, pays(hundredths of the stake),feature,maxWinMultiplier(500),maxWinHundredths(50000),stakeStepMinor(100),roundMaxWinandmaxWinAmount, andoperatorMaxWinMultiplierwhen the operator set a cap — never strips, chances or the RTP. - Auto spin follows the operator's auto-spin setting, as on Slotty Slots (never in jurisdictions that forbid it); it stops at every Color Rush.
- Progressive jackpot. The game can feed your progressive jackpot like the other games (switch on Jackpot Participation for it, see Progressive Jackpots); the contribution comes out of the RTP, never on top of it. The rounds that feed the jackpot are played on the next lower variant's reel strips; the pays, the rules and the screen are identical in every variant. A jackpot won on a round — and the round's
game:balanceUpdateandgame:roundEndmessages to your page — wait until the round's result is on screen, up to the platform's hold limit (see Progressive Jackpots).
